Week 4

Today I worked as salon manager while others was doing clients. With salon manager I had to make sure everything in the salon was in place and all neat and tidy before and after use. I had to collect items from the dispensary if they was not any in the salon and had to report if there was any electrical and technical difficulties also. With doing salon manager it has gave me more of an idea on how you would work in the industrial salons as this is the sort of stuff you will do. I am very proud of myself for doing this as I think I kept the salon all tidy and made sure everything was neatly put back in its original place and made sure that any problems we had with electrical things got sorted.

Week 3

Today I didn't go to work experience as I had a job interview for a weekend job in a salon. The interview went very well and I felt very confident while in it, I spoke in a good manner and with respect and made sure I looked professional and like a beautician would (apart from the uniform) I gave eye contact at all times to show the interviewer I was listening and showing her that my attention was on her. I feel like I should of asked a few more questions than I did but from this I will remember that from now on. I find out when I get the job anytime soon now if successful and I am looking forward to hearing back with the response. 

Week 2

Today we had no clients in so me and the other students was told to carry out treatments that we think we need more practice on. As you can see in the above photo I did a numerous amount of treatments, I did eyebrow tinting, individual eyelashes and strip lashes and I also did 1/2 a leg wax which is not shown on the photo. I feel happy that I have finally got chance to try these treatments as I was off when everyone else practiced these. I think the outcome of the treatments was very good apart from the strip lashes as the eyelashes was not very good and would not apply on the eye properly, the eyelashes was curled which made it very difficult for me to straighten them and put on the eyes. If i had to change anything in the treatments I did I would definitely recommend myself on using a different pair of eyelashes as those ones were very complicated for me to use. In our college we now have a numerous amount of treatment packages for Christmas, theirs different types such as; Manicure, Eye treatments and Waxing, we will be taking bookings for Wednesday's  and Friday's commercial lessons at 1:00pm.

                      Week 1

Today was very frustrating trying to set up this blog as their was many difficulties and complications with the server, but in the end I managed to do it successfully and now I have a new way of recording information in commercial lessons. Our main focus in our treatments is customer care,retail and sales. We will be offering promotions to increase the turn over during our work experience sessions. I am very pleased with how I have started my blog and can't wait to keep you all updated on my work experience and commercial lessons.
